I want to start off by thanking you for giving me this amazing internship opportunity with JONAH. It has been a pleasure working alongside all of the JONAH members. I really enjoyed getting to know everything JONAH is about, and I am so grateful for the skills I have gained through this internship. Thank you so much for giving me this opportunity!

One of our biggest accomplishments was April’s newsletter. Although it was difficult, and we had to postpone the release date a couple times, I am really happy with how it turned out. I think our collaboration with other members of JONAH and in the community really helped make the articles more professional and taught me a lot about newsletter writing. I am grateful for the contacts made to complete these articles successfully.  I also thank you for giving me a lot of freedom about how I wanted to write and structure the articles.

Another thing we worked a lot on was the contact database. When I first started, I know the organization was struggling with getting all the contacts organized so I hope you are satisfied with the work I did to organize that information.  I enjoyed helping you create and distribute posters in the beginning. I acquired a lot of technological skills by learning to update and change the website and to use Every Action. In addition, I really enjoyed getting to meet some of the JONAH leaders both at the event I attended and on the zoom call.

This internship with JONAH has given me many useful skills toward my future career. One of the biggest things I learned was flexibility. I know we struggled a lot with getting in contact with people when COVID all started to hit. But we were able to stay pretty flexible throughout the time. Your patience with me is greatly appreciated.  I also learned a lot about writing articles for newsletters from several JONAH members. I really do think my writing skills have developed in the time I spent with JONAH. I had the opportunity to work on my design skills with the posters and with working on the website.

Lynn was so organized when it came to what she wanted me to accomplish. She was easy to reach and responded to my emails in a timely manner. It made my work easier and more enjoyable.

It has been such a pleasure working for JONAH this semester and I am so thankful for all of the things I have learned. I hope that this partnership was just as beneficial for your organization.  Thank you so much for this opportunity!

Best Wishes,

Alaina
