Additional Statement from Altoona Masjid:
“There are many quotes from Islamic sources which show that Muslims believe every part of the earth is God’s land. Although, today, we have put up borders in order to divide nations and stop the flow of emigration & immigration from one land to another, in the teachings of Islam, all lands belong to God and all people are servants of God. Therefore, the worldly authorities should feel for those who are destitute & oppressed and open the doors of their borders for them. Welcoming refugees is our collective responsibility and diverse backgrounds strengthen our communities!”

“O mankind, indeed We have created you from male and female and made you peoples and tribes that you may know one another. Indeed, the most noble of you in the sight of Allah is the most righteous of you. Indeed, Allah is Knowing and Acquainted.” Quran 49:13
